In 1974, she was hired as the Supervisor of Moler Hall in a "war on student boredom". Moler Hall, originally dedicated in 1969, had taken on a new life with the additions of four ping pong tables, four pool tables, and two 21" color television sets. The Hall also included the addition of new tables for the new checkers, chess and domino sets, and 6 new pinball machines.
During the summers, she would take in her grandkids so they could attend Vacation Bible School at her church, where she served as Beginner Department Superintendent.
Glorine and Victor had three children: Kenneth Wayne[4], Michael Dale[5], Susan Lynn[6], and one other female child (unnamed) who died shortly after birth.[7][8]
She enjoyed traveling in her free time with family, and was often found camping and fishing at across the State. When time didn't permit extended camping, she could be found traveling the backroads of Texas hunting wildflowers.
Glorine and her younger sister, Lille Mae, remained the best of friends throughout their lives. As adults, they lived just houses away from each other and would see each other almost daily. The two couples were inseparable, often travelling together, and shared in the raising of their children.
Glorine passed away on April 9th, 2011 in a Baytown, Texas hospice facility with her devoted husband of 64 years by her side. She was laid to rest in Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas on April 12th, surrounded by her friends and family.
