Biography

Grace was born about 1822. She was the daughter of Mark Willan and Ruth (Whiteside) Willan^[1]

John Downham and Grace Willan were married on 6 Jan 1840 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. ^[2]

An 1851 Census of Ellel, Lancaster, Lancashire lists John Downham 40 b. 1811 Wyresdale, Farmer and his wife, Grace 29 b. 1822 Orton, Westmorland. They have four children, however, there are a list of other children and adults living with them. Some of them have the Downham surname so it's probable they are related. ^[3]

She passed away in 1868.
