Hi Madison,

I noticed that you adopted the profile of Reginald Raymond Seymour (Seymour-3472). Are you a relative of Reginald? If so, we may be distantly related. (I left this message on Reginald's profile page about a month ago, but have had no response).

Kind regards.

Hi Madison,

Thank you for managing Captain John Kearney's profile and for providing info on him. He is the son of William Kearney, who is one of my ancestors. I am just beginning my family history journey, and so far it's been more exciting than I had ever anticipated.

Best Regards,

Colleen Kearney

Hi Madison,

I sent you a private message on 16 Apr 2024 about your request to take the Profile Improvement Project's PIP Voyage. It would have been in an email from WikiTree with the subject heading "WikiTree Profile Improvement Project Voyage" I am following up as I haven't heard from you. Did you receive my message?

Thank you, Robin Shaules - PIP Voyage Lead

P.S. I will be out of town from 25 Apr through 10 May, so if you respond to me and I don't get back to you right away, that is the reason.

Hello, Madison!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s VERY IMPORTANT to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Madison, thanks for your efforts merging pre-1500 profiles. It is good to hear you have a copy of Richardson. If you haven't done so already I would also strongly suggest downloading pdf copies of the second edition of Complete Peerage, and Farrer's Honors and Knights' Fees. I think these are available on Familysearch. If you have pdf versions you'll be able to skip through them quickly.

Richardson's work is often completely based on CP and HKF but contains very little explanation about the evidence. Whenever Richardson proposed changes to such standard works he tended to posted longer explanations on SGM which are still searchable here https://groups.google.com/g/soc.genealogy.medieval (For medieval profiles, we have been citing such posts when relevant, even though they are online sources.)

Please let me know if I can help with anything. It is great to have your help.
