Mary Tayler was baptised on the 7th of December 1735 in Sandford, Devon, England[1][2]. Her parents were Thomas Tayler and Ann Tayler (nee ?).
Mary married Robert Baker on the 13th of February 1759 in Sandford[3]. Banns had been published on the 7th, 14th, and 21st of January 1759[4]. Mary and Robert had 6 children, 4 daughters and 2 sons:
Ann Baker, baptised on the 5th of November 1759 in Sandford.
John Baker, baptised on the 17th of November 1761 in Sandford.
Mary Baker, baptised on the 9th of July 1764 in Sandford.
Susanna Baker, baptised on the 3rd of May 1767 in Sandford.
Robert Baker, baptised on the 28th of November 1769 in Sandford.
Elizabeth Baker, baptised on the 2nd of February 1773 in Sandford.
Tragedy struck when Mary and Robert's son, Robert, died at age 2 in 1772 due to accidental drowning.
A few years later in 1775, Mary's husband Robert passed away after 16 years of marriage.
Mary died not long after at age 40 and was buried on the 23rd of January 1776 in Sandford[5][6].
