Biography
Shelvie was born in 1937. She was the last-born child of Windsor L. Shepherd & Emma T. Waisner. She was first married to Liston O. Whitley in 1952. She had 3 children with him: Roger, Teresa, & Karen. They later divorced & she married James A. Johnson in 1964. She passed away in 2013 at Tucker Hospice house in Kannapolis.[1]

Shelvie was born September 28, 1937 the daughter of the late Windsor L and Emma Waisner Shepherd.
Shelvie was a housewife for the last 30 yrs. She went to school in Stanly county.
Survivors include her two beloved daughters, Karen Crainshaw, Teresa Ridenhour; one beloved son Roger Whitley. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday Jan. 4, 2013 at West Lawn Memorial Park 1350 S. Main St., China Grove,, NC
Shelvie will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends.[2]
