Biography

John Scott was born in 1834. He was the son of Joseph Scott and Jane Brown.

JOHN together with his mother, father and most of his siblings, except for one sister and one brother, emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1852 aboard the ship SIX SISTERS, arriving in Melbourne in January 1853. ^[1] SIX SISTERS - SCOTT, JOSEPH, age 49; SCOTT, JANE, 48; SCOTT, JOHN, age 17; SCOTT, WILLIAM, age 14; SCOTT, JANE, age 13; SCOTT, ANTHONY, age 10; SCOTT, JONATHAN, age 6.

In 1861, he married Margaret Walters. ^[2]

He passed away in 1870. ^[3] He is buried in Diamond Creek cemetery. ^[4]
