Lucy Catherine Roberts was born on August 28, 1855 in Shelby County, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Edmund Augustus Williscroft Roberts (1823–1904) and Cynthia Ann Perkins (about 1826–1894).

Lucy had a brother, Patrick Henry Roberts (1844–1888).

Lucy (19) married John Wright (22) (born on September 27, 1852 in Hatton, Shelby County; son of Crittendon Wright and Elizabeth Frances (Hoard) Wright) on February 25, 1875 in Shelby County. Their known son was Forrest Wright (1876–1954).

Lucy passed away on September 18, 1932 in Franklin County, Kentucky, aged 77. She was buried in Beech Ridge Cemetery, Shelby County, Kentucky.^{[1] [2]}
