Biography

According to the 1850 census, Nancy was born about 1799 in Kentucky.[1] She cannot have been born too much after that as she married Uriah Clark 28 Jul 1816 in Franklin County.[2]

Uriah and Nancy had at least 6 children:

who are named during probate of Uriah's estate[3] and in numerous land deeds sorting out his property amongst the children and widow. The 1830[4] and 1840[5] census suggest there may be additional children who were not named in the probate records.

After Uriah's death, Nancy continued to live in Perry Township. In the 1860[6] and 1870[7] census, she is with her son Cornelius.

According to the Franklin County, Ohio Will Record, Nancy died 9 Sep 1878.[8] Her death is not recorded in Franklin County, however the will was signed 28 Aug 1878, she died not quite 2 weeks later, and her will mentions the bedstead she used in her last sickness, so it's likely she did die at home in Perry Township.
