Biography

Rasmus was born on December 14, 1792. [1] His parents were Halvor Nielsen & Maren Andersdatter. [1] He was baptized on December 21 at Domkirken in Bergen, Norway. [1]

He appeared in the 1801 Norwegian census in Bergen. [2] He was living with his mother, his sister, and his sister's family. [2]

He married Dorthea Cathrina Beyer on January 24, 1823 at Domkirken in Bergen. [3] They had 5 children:

  1. Martin Johan b. 1823 [4]
  2. Morten b. 1825 [5]
  3. Morten Beyer b. 1826 [6]
  4. Harald Andreas b. 1831 [7]
  5. Else Margrethe b. 1833 [8]

He died on January 9, 1855. [9] He was buried on January 12 in Bergen. [9]
