Biography

John Fowler Mitchell was born on April 11, 1853 in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, United States, son of William Mitchell (1823–1899) and Calasty Long (1833–1892).^[1]

In 1870, John was living in Greenfield, Hancock, Indiana, United States with his father William Mitchell. ^[2]

John (26) married Minnie Belle Alexander (19) (born on July 24, 1860 in Victoria, Texas, United States; daughter of Andrew Jackson Alexander and Arabella Jane (Hart) Alexander) on December 23, 1879 in Hancock.^[3] Their son was John Fowler Mitchell (1883–1972).

In 1930, John F (77) was living in Greenfield, Hancock, Indiana. ^[4]

John died on April 1, 1939 in Greenfield, Hancock, aged 85. He was buried in Park Cemetery, Greenfield, Hancock County, Indiana.^[1]
