William Robert Mitchell was born in 1888. He was the son of John Mitchell and Minnie Thornton. ^[1]

MITCHELL.— On the 6th June, at Manningham-street, Parkville, William Robert, oldest son of John Mitchell, implement maker, aged 5 years. ^[3]

He is buried in Melbourne General cemetery, and also memorialised on his parents’ grave. ^{[4] [5]}
