Dr. Edward Mitchell was born in 1788. He had properties in Charleston, and Edisto Island.

1817 - Purchased of William G. Baynard the former property of Archibald Calder[2]

Mitchell's will states he has more than one plantation however they are not named so it is unknown which of the above properties is Frogmore Plantation and which one would be Mitchell's Little Edisto Plantation.[4]

Death

Dr. Edward Mitchell died on 27 July 1855 and was buried in Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island Cemetery, Edisto Island, Charleston County, South Carolina, United States.[7] Mitchell wrote his will 6 Nov 1854, and it was proven 3 Oct 1855.[4]
