Biography
Mary was born in August 1868. She is the daughter of Conrad Miller and Mary Herchenröder. [1]
She married Bernard Link (1861-1914) on June 18, 1885. Her last name, Link, was mentioned in the obituary for his sister, Wilhelmina (Mamie). Bernard's parents were Amond Link and Veronica Link.
The 1900 Census the family is living in the 9th Ward of Fort Wayne, Washington Township, Allen County, Indiana. They lived at lot 8 east fo Wills Street and north of "Nas." Household members included[2]:
- Benjamin, Head, July 1861, 38 years, married 15 years prior, born in Germany, worked as a teamster.
- Mary, wife, August 1868, 31 years, married 15 years, born in Indiana, had 7 children and 6 were living.
- Frannie M. November 1885
- Mary K Link, 23, Feb 1887
- Celia K. Link, 20, Feb 1890
- Antonette C Link, 18, June 1891
- Edward J Link , 17, April 1893
- Loretta M Link, 15, March 1895
In the 1910 Census finds them living at 312 Harrison Street in Ward 3 of Fort Wayne. Bernard worked as a Teamster at a Builders Supply. They rented the house. it shows she had 7 children, 6 of whom were living. Bernard was naturalized and had immigrated from Germany in 1883.[3] Household members included:
