Johannes Messer was born about 1651.
He married Magdalena. They had 8 children:
He was a farmer in Woppenhof and then a farmer in Kaimling.
He passed away on 10 March 1746 in Kaimling[1].
Baptism records for all of Johannes and Magdalena's children except their eldest daughter were found in Glaubendorf Parish. They were born in Woppenhof. Sometime after their youngest child's birth in October 1706[2], the family moved to Kaimling in Roggenstein Parish.
It's worth noting that a Leonhard Messer also lived in Woppenhof in the first decade of the 1700s. He was born in 1677 in Kemnath; he was possibly a nephew or otherwise more distant kin to Johannes. The fact both Messers lived in Woppenhof at the same time seems to suggest a relationship.
A marriage record could not be found for Johannes and Magdalena in Glaubendorf Parish, and their origin is unknown prior to 1691. There are Messers in Kemnath bei Neunaigen Parish, as noted above, however they were not found there.
Johannes' burial record says he was 95 years old and a widower.
