Biography

Davis was born in 1956. He was the only-born son of the union of Sidney Martinez & Helen Blouin. He grew up in Louisiana, USA. Hi first child, Michel, was born in 1971. His mother & her 3rd husband adopted her. He met his 1st wife, Teresa Whitley, in Oklahoma. They married in August 1973. Four months later, their first child, David, was born. in 1978, their second child, James, was born. They divorced sometime between 1978 & 1986. He married his second wife, Patricia Harris, around 1987. Davis started his own business, Vinyl Master, in 1989 in Slidell, LA. He died in 1996 of pulmonary fibrosis. ^[1]

SLIDELL- Davis Anthony Martinez of Slidell died on Sunday, June 9, 1996 at Slidell Memorial Hospital from pulmonary fibrosis of the lung.

He was 40 years of age.

A native of New Orleans and 23 year resident of Slidell, Martinez worked his entire life in the vinyl repair and installation business, starting Vinyl Master seven years ago in the Slidell area.

He was the husband of Patricia "Trish" Martinez; father of David Shawn Martinez, James Anthony Martinez, David Wayne Hogan, Pamela Ann Buse; and son of the late Sidney and Helen Blouin Martinez.

Also, brother of Shirley Gonzales, Becky Pugh, Patsy Hays, Marie Sage, Tisa Moragne, Michel Marie Castenada and Sidney J. Martinez, Jr.; and grandfather of Ethan Lane Hogan.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Schoen Funeral Home, 3808 Pontchartrain Dr., Slidell on Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m.

Rev. Larry Roques and Rev. Donald Bryan officiating.

Visitation on Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8 a.m. until funeral time.

Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
