Research Notes
Joseph's did not marry second wife Celia Mae Patterson until 1903. Celia was married to first husband Daniel Nix in 1896 and had another child, Clayton Anson Nix, born on Sep 7 1896. So Celia could not have been Mable's mother if Mable was born in 1896.
Joseph's 1st wife, Sarah Leonia McElwee died in 1896 so she could have been Mable's mother. Is it possible that Sarah's death and Mable's birth coinside in 1896?
Hopefully someone can find information linking Mable to Sarah and Joseph.
