I have initiated the merge. Thanks!
Hi cousin,

I added Norman Edward Picou as the son of Roy Picou and Millie Layton. You may already have a profile for Norman, but it’s completely private so I can’t be for sure. Can you take a look and possibly merge the two?

Thank you!

I gotta ask lol are you by chance from Wisconsin? I grew up with a family of Hulseys and unfortunately lost track of them.
No, I am from Missouri, and near as I can tell all the ancestors came from S. Carolina and Georgia before a few of them came west. But that doesn't mean there isn't a relation. :)
Shannon,

Are you still active on WikiTree?

I'm still active, though not as much as earlier.
Hi Shannon,

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Southern Colonies Project. As we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to their ancestors. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hi Shannon,

On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project Leaders I am doing a six-month check-in with members to see if you were Active in US Southern Colonies

1) Were you active in the last two months in Southern Colonies. What contributions ?

2) Have you joined other Southern Colonies Subprojects, such as Southern Pioneers Project. Or have you worked on other subprojects?

3) Your activity in Southern Pioneers Project.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Shannon! I think we're related, even though WikiTree can't find the connection (because you've created duplicates instead of hooking into the existing profiles).

But ... You're descended from Gilles Chauvin-431 & I'm descended from Gilles Chauvin-51, and they're duplicate profiles. So that would make us, um, dang. Let me go through and merge the duplicates & then WikiTree will tell us :D

Cheers, Liz

Hi Shannon,

Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

We're really glad you're here!
