It is certain that a Robert was born at Long Eaton to Isaac and Mary [nee Storer] Hooley, in 1757 and was christened Robert as a replacement for his eldest brother, Robert, who had died aged four or five the previous year. What is not certain - though i am assuming for the moment that this is true - is that it is the same Robert whose burial is recorded at Long Whatton, Leicestershire, in November 1781. Their widowed mother having remarried [to a John Lancaster in 1763], Robert's elder brother, named Isaac after their father, married a Mary Brown in 1775, and by 1782 had moved from Long Eaton in Derbyshire to Long Whatton just over the border in Leicestershire.. I am assuming, for lack of further evidence, that Robert, Isaacs young brother, accompanied them before dying: he would have been about 24 and still unmarried. More research must be done before my suggestions can be accepted.
