Biography

Elizabeth Harrison was born on August 31st 1901 in St Helens, Lancashire. She was the daughter of Charles Harrison and Elizabeth (Winders) Harrison. Her birth was registered in the last quarter of the year, in Prescot district.

By April 2nd 1911, the family were still in St Helens, and Elizabeth's father Charles was working as a coal hewer. The family had just one boarder - Joseph Dearden, who had been with them since at least 1901, whose age was given as 58 and his occupation as bricksetter's labourer. He was a maternal relative of Elizabeth's mother.

Elizabeth married Robert Smith in 1926 at St Thomas' Church in Eccleston, St Helens (Anglican).

Robert died in 1971, aged 69. He was buried on October 26th 1971 in St Helens Cemetery in a family grave.

Elizabeth died in 1993, aged 91. She was buried on July 29th 1993 with Robert.
