OBITUARY: Dr. Reina F. Hall, of Albuquerque, died Saturday, August 25, 2001. Retired Dean from the College of Nursing at UNM. Born in Brooklyn, NY. She received her RN at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Hall was a pioneer public health nurse in the city of New York. She served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps in North Africa and Italy during WWII. Dr. Hall received her bachelors and masters degree at Catholic University and her Ph.D. from St. John's University. She later worked with the U.S.P.H.S. for an additional eight years. Dr. Hall was a professor of nursing at St. John's University, Hunter College of CUNY and the University of Arizona before moving to Albuquerque in 1964. Survivors include sisters, Elizabeth C. Hall of Albuquerque and Edna Hall Murray of Mineola, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Interment of cremains will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE. -- Albuquerque Journal
