Isabella (Gracey) Paul was born about 1833 in Ireland, daughter of William Gracey.[1]
Isabella married William Paul (1831 - 1892) on 2 October 1855 at St Michael's Presbyterian Church in Limerick, Ireland.[1][2]
Together they had the following children:
Within six months of their marriage, they were at Southampton, Hampshire, England boarding the "Arthur the Great" ship as assisted emigrants heading to the Colony of Victoria. They are both recorded as coming from Derry.[3]
They arrived at Geelong in the Colony of Victoria on 4 June 1856 after some drama with the Pilot running the ship aground twice as they approached Geelong.

William and Isabella ended up settling at Portland in the Colony of Victoria, where William was employed by the Police force. After several incidents, they returned to Melbourne and in May 1863 departed aboard the 'Salacia' bound for Port Chalmers (Dunedin), Otago, New Zealand.

Isabella died on 23 October 1900 in Taranaki, New Zealand aged 67.
