Edmund Geary was born at Camden, New South Wales 1878 to David and Bridget.[1]
Edmund Geary is an Anzac who served in the Boer War.
Edmund Geary, driver at Melbourne, joined the 4th Victorian Imperial Bushmen/Australian Imperial Regiment (A.I.R.) regimental number 244, and sailed from Port Melbourne on the "Victorian" on 1 May 1900 for South Africa.
He was discharged in South Africa on 2nd August 1901 where it is likely he served with colonial forces until the end of the war. [2][3]
Edmund Geary is an Anzac who served in World War One.
In August 1914 Edmund joined the AIF and was allocated to the 2nd Australian Infantry Battalion. He served on the Gallipoli Peninsula where he was treated for a scalp wound in June 1915 and was killed in action in August 1915.[4][5][6]
Edmund is believed to be buried at Lone Pine Cemetery and Memorial.[7]
