Thanks for all you work on 1776 patriots - I would ask you to do some edits on the stickers done today.
Darby-1611 needs the sticker edited to add in the regiment. The other sticker with service details need to be
put into notes. I'm working on a massive clean-up of Massachusetts patriot stickers - getting the regiment updated on about 2,500 men.
There is a error reporting system on stickers so I'm alerted to error issues and ... give these three patriot records a try and see if those three names disappear from this https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:1776_Project_Needs_Sticker_Category_Review
Hi Beryl, every "Patriot's Day" I celebrate our Minutemen. I do not think they should be relegated to the "Notes". Johnson Moulton (abt.1736-1793)'s company of Minutemen were the first to leave Maine for Lexington. So many Minutemen marched to Boston, they had to be sent home to reorganize. Here in Maine and Massachusetts we celebrate their service on April 19th. Please make a sticker for Minutemen and not move their great service to notes. Infact, as a child the first I learned of the American Revolution was about Minutemen. They used to be beloved...what happened?
We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
We hope you can join us for the next Connect-a-thon. It starts Friday, January 13th at 8 am EST and ends Monday, January 16th at 8 am EST. (You don't have to be available the entire time.) Regisration ends Wednesday, January 11th.
Thank you for joining the September USBH Connecting Challenge and helping us create 2978 new profiles! Our new total is 140,351. We have less than 10,000 to our 2022 goal!
Wow, even with our challenge tracker issues Mid-Atlantic Part Deux had credit for sourced 1,503 profiles and Mid-Atlantic US was credited with sourced 1357 profiles. Thanks for being part of Team Mid-Atlantic.
We hope you can join Team MidAtlantic for the 2022 Source-a-thon. It will start 8 am EDT on Friday, September 30th and end at 8 am on Monday, October 3rd. The Source-a-thon is different from the Connect-a-thon in that we will be working on existing profiles. Also different is that most of the prizes given out at the hang outs are donated by members so there are a wide variety. If you would like to look at what has been donated so far or to donate a prize yourself:
Thank you Emma. I wanted to ask you a question. I have found a couple in local records who married, but were slaves of different men. They had no last names. Should I make profiles for them? and others like them?
Were they listed under their slave owners on the records? If so, you can create their profiles using the slave owner's last name as a place holder last name until a documented one can be found.
yes, the slave owners were named. I added a slave holder category to the men so I could easily find the couple again. I will make profiles for them.. Thanks Emma
We would love to have you join the Mid-Atlantic Team for the Connect-A-Thon. The event will start on Friday, July 15th, at 8 AM (EST) and run until Monday, July 18th, at 8 AM (EST). You do not need to be available the entire time and there will be links on our page to the Needs Profiles categories .
Thanks Michele for inviting me to join your team. I am currently working on the families of Buxton, Maine and would like to connect Mainers this time around. I asked the Nor'Easters if I could join their team. Donna
Donna, Thank you for joining the May USBH Connecting Challenge and helping us create 3182 new profiles. Our new total is 107702. We have less than 43000 to our 2022 goal!
Thanks so much for being a member of the Mid-Atlantic Team for the April Connectathon. It was a fun and productive weekend. We added 3,716 profiles to Wikitree between the two teams and had 49 people participate. Considering many of us can’t stop at just one source, we may never make the top ten, but we did great!
Mindy usually sends out a wrap up message in which she mentions how to delete from your watchlist profiles you do not want to continue to manage. Can I make a request, wait until tomorrow before you do this, and then can you check your suggestion list and see if there are any typos that need to be corrected. We don’t want to add to the data doctors’ work.
We're doing our semi-annual check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to these check-ins.

Hi Cindy, I'm so pleased I was of some help with the Caplan family! Thanks for your kind words. I did quite a bit of research on my Duguay/Gallant branch a couple of years back (wrote a little book for my Duguay family) and learned I am related to nearly all the Acadian 1st families through my mother's father's mother. I am looking for Edesse Arseneau who married Joseph Bernard before 1825, he was the son of Judith Chaisson and Gregoire Bernard. Edesse & Joseph's daughter Rufine dite Dauphine Bernard born about 1825 married Francois Xavier Duguay 15 Sep 1845, St Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish, PEI. Who were Edesse Arseneau's parents?
Hi, Donna, I first came across your contributions through some edits you made on the Caplans in Acadia. That led to a huge research discovery for us that I think will help straighten out that family and several duplicate profiles. Thank you! Looking at your contributions, I see you've worked on many Quebec profiles so I starting thinking we might be related. Indeed we are! 7th cousins through Zacharie Turgeon. You've been on WikiTree long enough to know your way around, but if I can ever help you, please don't hesitate to ask. I use the Drouin (IGD) and PRDH sites so if you don't have memberships yourself, I can do lookups. And I especially like to help for Acadians and I see you have some good Acadian names in your tree (through the Gallant family). I am one of the leaders on that project and love to help with Acadian questions! Always nice to find a cousin.
