Biography
Pietro was born on 1 June 1798 in Paterno Calabro, the son of Francesco De Cicco and Antonia Domenico. He was baptized that day in the church of the Holy Apostles, Saints Peter and Paul, in Paterno.[1]
Pietro was a 28 year old farmer when he married Maria Alesandra Maione, 19 year old daughter of Francesco Maione and Caterina Caputo, on 7 June 1826 in Paterno Calabro.[2]
Together they had a number of children and grandchildren, and many descendants.
Pietro passed away on 15 Jan 1854 at about 2 in the afternoon, in his own home in Paterno Calabro at the age of fifty-eight. [3][4]. His death was reported to the commune by his neighbour, Fedele Bruno, 40, and his relative, Fortunato De Cicco, 46, both of whom were farm labourers, just like Pietro.
