Mary "Mae" Josephine Coughlin was born April 1lth, 1897.
She was considered to be very beautiful. She kept away from the media and press because her husband, Al Capone, was such a famous American gangster.
Mae worked as a sales clerk in a neighborhood department store when she met Al Capone.
Their son Albert ‘Sonny’ Francis Capone was born Dec. 4, 1918. She married Al Capone on Dec. 30, 1918. In 1930 they lived in Chicago with Al Capone’s mother, Theresa.
Mae died on April 16, 1986 in Hollywood, Florida.
