Thomas was born in 1737 in Woodbury [1][2]

"Son of Jeffery and Mary Clark. On January 4th, 1758, he was wrecked on a small vessel below Red Bank. He drifted ashore at Ladd's Cove where he was rescued. He changed his mind about being a sea faring man, and settled in Gloucester County where he married Christian Vanneman. He held various public offices during his lifetime including; Justice of the Peace, Council of Proprietors for West Jersey, and Assemblyman. He was captured by the British on Oct 4 1777 but soon released. He built a house of worship in Greenwich, Gloucester County named Berkley, and at age 64 he wrote an account of his life. [3]

Thomas Clark's sons were Thomas, Joseph, and John. Also Jeffery.
