Biography
Thomas Ansley Chute was born in 1819[1].
He first married[1][2] Margaret Skinner, daughter of William Skinner, in 1843.
In 1861, Ansley was residing in Berwick with a family consisting of 1 male 4-5 [Perry], 1 female 5-10 [Ermina], 2 males 10-15 [Foster, Joseph], 1 female 10-15 [Zephina] , 1 single male 15-20, 1 married female [Margaret, his wife] and 1 married male 40-50 [himself]. [3]
He married secondly, 18 Jun 1867 in Aylesford, Mary Handley.
In 1871, Aubrey [sic], farmer, 51, Mary, 45, Manning E., farmer, 26, Jospeh F., farmer, 25, Foster B., farmer, 22, Zephina, 19, Ermina, 16, Percy J., 14 and Harris O., 9 were residing in Berwick.[4]
He died about 1895[5]. Chute[1] indicates 1898.
