Mary married James D. Murrel (born on November 9, 1861 in Tennessee, USA). Their daughter was Beulah Cathryne Murrell (1894–1929).

Mary died on April 28, 1943 in Bon Aqua, Hickman, Tennessee, aged 76.^[2]
