Biography

Antoine Chebrat was a miller, and lived in 1650, at the windmill of La Chaussée , parish de Saires, in Anjou, France. He married Francoise Chaumoret and together the couple had seven children: Francois, Etienne, Piere, Jeanne (b. 5 Feb 1627 at La Chausssé), Mathurine, Marguerite, and Philippe. Antoine died before January 15 1662 but it is unclear if he ever lived in Acadie. [1]His daughter Jeanne emigrated to Acadie.

I added two sources cited by the White source. Could either of them shed light on whether he was in Acadie? I don't have access to them.

French Roots will take this one.
Saires and La Chaussée are two different parishes (not far from each other, but distinct). It is unlikely that there was a mill called "La Chaussée" in Saires (and, by the way, rather a watermill than a windmill). His daughter Jeanne was baptised in La Chaussée in 1627, so he is likely from there. Maybe he moved to Saires later?

Not clear if he ever lived in Acadie though a daughter did. Removed him from Acadian Project and added him to French_Roots Project. Please post if you have proof he ever lived in Acadie. Thanks

Stephen White does not mention a father. Will remove him pending further evidence.

Antoine's father and all the ancestry attached appear highly questionable if there are no records or reliable sources attached.
