Josiah Sillas Johnston Burns was born in April, 1839 in Mississippi, United States.
Josiah married Palmira Clabe Smith (born in March, 1851 in Mississippi, USA; daughter of Peter D. Smith and Emeline Matlock). Their children were:
- Andrew Jackson Burns (1871–1944)
- Noah Burns (1887– )
- Palmira Burns (1889–1959)
Josiah died in June, 1921 in Oklahoma, United States, aged 82.[1]
