His parents were Elizabeth Wilson (Willson) of Indiana and William Brown of Kentucky.
Solomon was married twice and was father to 18 children. His first marriage was to Mary Elizabeth Rhodes which took place on 1 November 1838 in Morgan, Indiana. Parents to 8 children.
His second marriage to Melinda Folwer took place 11 June 1857 in Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas. Parents to 10 children
If Solomans birth and death date are correct he would have been aprox 64 when he passed in 1885. He is buried with his family in the Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas.
