Edgar Brown is a part of US Black heritage.

Edgar Hewitt Brown was born on 17 Mar 1880 in Logan County, Ohio. He was the son of Joel/Joseph/John/George Frazier Brown and Mary Elizabeth Warrick.^[1][2][3] In 1880 and 1900, his family lived in Richland Township, Logan County, Ohio.^[4][5]

Edgar married Martha (Evans) Chavis on 12 Nov 1907 in Hardin County, Ohio.^[1] She had several children from her previous marriages and they had two sons together: Raymond L. Brown (1908-1965) and Paul H. Brown (born ~1910)].^[6][7] They lived in Hardin County and Edgar worked as a laborer.^[6][7][8] His wife Martha died in 1936. In 1940, Edgar was living with his son Paul in Marion Township, Hardin County, Ohio.^[9] In 1950, he was a resident of the Hardin County Home and Hospital in Pleasant Township, Hardin County, Ohio.^[10]
