A classical frock of white cotelle, worn with a tulle veil mounted on a juliet cap of Chantilly lace, was chosen by Miss Beryl Bell, eldest daughter of Mrs. W. A. Appleton and the late Alexander Bell, of Kogarah, for her marriage at St. Stephen's Church, Phillip Street, last Saturday night, to Mr. Henrick Gabriel Glad, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Glad, of Randwick. The bride, who was given away by Mr. W. A. Appleton, was attended by her sister, Miss Jean Bell, whose frock of tangarine flat crepe was completed with a muff of mignonette and tulle. The bridegroom's brother, Mr. Bruce Glad, acted as best man. The reception was held at the Pickwick Club, where the bride's mother, gowned in an ensemble of navy and white marocaln, received many guests The bridegroom's mother wore a saxe blue ensemble, relieved with oyster grey, and added a smart hat to tone.[3] |
