In 1910, Elton age 25, resided with his family in Clinton, Ringgold, Iowa, USA^[6] In 1918, Elton age 34, registered for the WWI Draft. He was listed as medium build, medium weight, dark hair and blue eyes. He was employed as an office manager for the Kimball Laundry Co. in Omaha, Nebraska. ^[7][8] In 1920, Elton age 35, resided with his family in Omaha, Nebraska, USA^{[9] [10]} Elton died on January 2, 1924, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 39, and was buried there. ^[11]

He was the son of John Henry and Josephine E. "Josie" (Ferguson) Allyn. ^[12]
