Just checked out this profile for profile of the week and it was great. I had no idea I Robot was a book, I recognised the name as a movie of the same name starring Will Smith. Looked the movie up on Wikipedia and it mentioned the film was based of Isaac's I Robot Novel. Could someone in notables place this in his bio, that the novel later was adapted into a movie?

The movie clearly says based on the book by Isaac Asimov. I guess that is easy to miss. But the book being turned into a movie isn't exactly an achievement by Asimov unless he wrote the adaptation. (he didn't) He was definitely one of the fathers of science fiction and feel free to look up links for his ebooks. Some are in public domain.

He was also well known for writing books on hard to understand subjects that most common people could actually read. (such as left-hand of the electron)

I agree, although he certainly had a influence on it. In any case I enjoyed the movie and I am actually interested in the book. Is there a online publication of I, Robot somewhere?
Read the book. It is a lot better than the film.

Big list of his books. Just to really put things in perspective, "I, Robot" was written in 1950. It took an average lifetime to turn it into a movie.
From a hard Science Fiction standpoint, I was always more interested in his Foundation series. Taking the concept of being able to predict the future with pinpoint accuracy seemed like an interesting concept, and he took it way beyond to the nth degree of what would happen if you really could do such a thing and take into consideration every possible variable. It was a bit frightening after you think about it.
