Biography
James was born in 1815 and baptised on 30 Apr 1815 in Berkeley, Gloucester. [1]
James Nichols married Sarah Booth at the Cathedral Manchester, Lancashire on 23 September 1838 when he was 23 years old. [2][3]
In 1851 James Nichols was 36 years old and working as a yarn sizer in the mill and was living at Naylor Street in the parish of St Barnabas, with his wife and family[4]
In 1881 James is a 66 year old man, still working as a cotton sizer and living with his wife and extended family at 45 Leigh Street East, Ancoats[5]
James Nichols passed away in October 1898 in Prestwich, Lancashire when he was 83 years old.[6]
