Lucy Wilbur, daughter of John Edward Wilbur and Mary Ann (Smith) Wilbur, was born in Florida on 14 July 1880. She appeared on the census of 1 June 1885 in the home of her parents at District 19, Marion County, Florida.[1] She was a reeler in a cotton mill when she and her sister Edna appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in the home of James Monroe Maine and Sarah Ann (Smith) Maine, at Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island. Her future husband and his family were listed next to them.[2]
In 1910, Ray E. and Lucy F. Cross resided in Stonington, New London, Connecticut with their four children and Ray's mother.[3]
Lucy died in Hopkinton, Rhode Island in November 1966.[4] and was buried at First Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton, Washington County, Rhode Island. Her memorial has a photo and links to those of family members.[5]
