Biography

Robert was born about 1774 in Burke County, Colony of North Carolina on the 1790 Census. [1] By 1810 he was married and lived in Edgefield, South Carolina. [2] He was still living in Edgefield on the 1830 Census. [3] There were "5 persons employed in Agriculture" in his household by 1840 and they were living in the Pickens District of Pickens, South Carolina. [4]

Death

Robert made his Will on the 17th of January 1843 filed in the Edgefield District of South Carolina. [6][7] He died after 1850 since he was listed on the Census. [5]

Research Notes

Conflict between probate dates on the 24th of February and the 9th of March 1843, but the 1850 Census which lists Robert, Jane and grandchildren, Susan and Thomas: who lived next door to son Robert Turner (abt.1813-aft.1861), wife, and the rest of the children. Probably had already deceased but was living there previously. [5] Deese-313 18:57, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
