Biography

Dora Turner Sebastian was a daughter of Edward Turner and Polly Ann Raleigh Turner. Following are census reports from 1920 and 1930, where she is enumerated with her parents:

In the 1920 census, Granville Raleigh is listed as residing in Turners Creek, Breathitt County, KY, as head of household, age 61. Also residing here is Granville's wife Emly (age 63), their daughters Eliza Raleigh (age 33) and Pollon (sic) Turner (age 38). Four grandchildren (children of Polly) are also residing here (all with the "Turner" surname): Dora (7); Marget (5); Henry (3); Rosa (1). Additionally, 14-year-old granddaughter Emly Raleigh is also listed as residing here.

In the 1930 census for Crockettsville, Breathitt County, KY, Polly Turner (age 50) and her husband Edward Turner (age 47) are enumerated along with their children Dora (18), Marguerete (sic) (16), Henry (14), and Rose (12).

In the 1940 census for Magisterial District #2 in Breathitt County, KY, Dora Sebastian, age 28, is enumerated with her husband Wardie (also listed as age 28), and their children James (4) and Mary (age 1).
