—Barrett—Turner.—

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Silverton Farm, Wisanger, Kangaroo Island, the residence of Mr. G. Turner, on Wednesday. March 3, when Miss Jean Turner, his fifth daughter, and Mr. George William Barrett, eldest son of Mr. G. Bar rett, of Wisanger, were married by the Rev. Turton-Longman. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of silk voile, with silk lace trimming. The veil was worn, in mob-cap style, encircled with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers, and fern, with streamers of white-silk corded ribbon. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Pearl Turner (sister of bride), who was dressed in white silk, and Miss Elsie Verne Barrett (sister of bridegrooom), who was dressed in pale-blue crepe. Each carried a bouquet of white flowers, with streamers of pink ribbon. Mr. W. C. Barrett (cousin) acted as best man, with Mr. A. S. G. Barrett (brother) as groomsman. The bridegroom's presents to the bridesmaids were gold brooches. After the ceremony a large number of guests adjourned to the wedding breakfast, and the usual toasts were honoured. ^[1]
