Leonard was a tradesman printer/compositor. He worked for the Swan Hill Guardian newspaper for many years. He was a member of the civilian voluntary defence force during the 2nd World War in Swan Hill. Member of the Loyal Orange Lodge, Black Lodge in Swan Hill & Bendigo. The family moved to Bendigo in March 1945 where Len worked for Bolton Bros-Printers, in Mitchell Street then Cambridge Press, Hargreaves Street Bendigo. He & Elsie were staunch members of the Swan Hill Methodist and Kennington Methodist Churches. He was a devoted husband, father & grand-father to his family.
