Donald Smith was born in Whiteshill, Gloucestershire, England.

Donald was born on 19 Sep 1921, in Whiteshill Gloucestershire England. Donald is the son of Charles Dennis Smithand Florence Lottie Bingle. ^{[1] [2]}

Donald married Muriel Joyce Frape on 22 May 1953, in Stroud, Gloucestershire. ^[3]

Occupation and Hobbies

Donald worked with his brothers in the family building and undertaker business in Whiteshill.

Donald was a very keen musician. He played the cornet in the Nailsworth & Horsley brass band and also in the Listers company band, in Dursley. Whilst playing with the Nailsworth & Horsley brass band Donald took part in national competitions. Donald would also travel to listen to other bands at competitions throughout England. HDonald's other passion was gardening, and he took over several neglected allotments. As well as the normal veg, he enjoyed growing flowers, especially Gladioli and Dahlias

Death

Donald died on the 13 Sep 1970, and was cremated in Gloucester, but his burial service was held in Woodchester church on the 18 Sep 1970. At the time of his death Donald lived at no 19 Southbank, Woodchester. ^[4]
