ROOD John Frederick, born May 12, 1916 in Prince Rupert, B.C., passed peacefully at the age of 89 on November 12, 2005. He is sadly missed and survived by his 3 children, Ken (Rosalie), Susan Simmons (Jim), Carol Walters (Gary), 4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyler, Sara and Ryan, and one great grandchild Brandon. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Betty (2000) and his granddaughter Jamie (1995). John and Betty moved to Burnaby in 1956 where they raised their children and resided for over 45 years. He was a WWII veteran flying with the RCAF and worked for the Federal Government as an auditor for 32 years. Thanks to all the nurses and care workers at St. Michaels Centre for all of their kind care and attention to Dad. A celebration of John's life will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home November 18, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to donate to the BC Cancer Foundation. We love you Dad.
