Research: MGF now resolved, DNA matches indicate he was born Frank Butler,1855, in Britford, Wiltshire, UK; Several generations now revealed via the Butler Family and recorded in The life of Frank Butler, 2023, by his GGS, Colin Taylor. Also details of my parents activities(from 1915 - 1945) - partly covered by OSA at that time. Haydn L Phillips, BBC engineer (1896-1965), Francis Isoult Howard, (1911 - 1990) ; Solving similar challenge for my wife's MGF, Wilfred Bateman (1891-1951). Born in 1943, in Exeter. [1] A member of the "Old Uffs" [2]. Retained at the late Queen's pleasure until age 65, [3]. Retired to ruminate amongst the sheep grazing on upland pastures, and share his skies with red kites and military aircraft.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
