Biography
Kathy was the daughter of Philip Elwood Marquand, Sr and Lillian Ayers (Saunders) Marquand.
She had 6 siblings: five sisters, Barbara, Marianne, Janet, Wilma, and Velva, and one brother, Phil.
When she was just over 2 years old, her mother passed away, and she and her sister Velva were adopted by their paternal uncle Leo and his wife Velva and raised as their daughters.
Kathy met Paul, the love of her life, through her brother and they were married on 10 OCT 1962 in Gales Ferry, Connecticut.[1]
They lived in North Stonington, Connecticut.
She had five daughters.
Kathy's interests ranged from being a member of the National Genealogical Society to her passion for gardening. She enjoyed candle making, handcrafting Christmas stockings and ornaments, which have become prized family heirlooms.
Admired for her abilities to cook, she never used a recipe, always the "pinch of this and a dash of that" method.
She passed away in 2005.[2]
