Biography

Chester Cameron MacDonald was the first son of the Rev. Ewan MacDonald and authoress Lucy Maude Montgomery, born July 7, 1912, in Scott, Ontario, Canada. He married Luella Reid.^[1]Chester and Luella had three children - Luella Agnes Josephine MacDonald Veijalainen (1934–2018), Cameron Craig Stuart MacDonald (1936–1999) and David Cameron Macdonald (1943–2017.)

Chester served in the 48th Highlanders Reserve in 1938, but was rejected for service during the war, because of poor eyesight. In 1939, he finished a law course, but was not able to succeed in that career.^[1]

Chester MacDonald died on 14 June 1964, in Willowdale, Ontario, Canada. He is buried in the Foster Memorial Cemetery, Durham, Ontario, Canada.
