Joseph Lane, the son of Caleb and Lydia, baptized Nov. 30, 1760 in the Third Parish, at Annisquam village, Gloucester.[7]
Amey Lane, the daughter of Caleb and Lydia was baptized on Dec. 7, 1765 in the Third Parish, at Annisquam village, Gloucester.[8]
Wentworth Riggs Lane, the son of Caleb and Lydia, was baptized in the third parish, Annisquam village, Gloucester on May 24, 1767.[9]
Susannah Lane, the daughter of Caleb and Lydia, was baptised in the third parish, Annisquam village, Gloucester on May 21, 1769. CR3[10]
Zaccheus Lane, the son of Caleb and Lydia, was baptized in the third parish, Annisquam village, Gloucester on June 16, 1771.[11]
Pvt. Caleb Lane Sr. served with Essex County, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
Caleb Lane served during the revolutionary war in coastal defense at Gloucester, Massachusetts as a private in the 3rd Company commanded by Captain William Pearson. He enlisted January 20, 1776, and served until November 18, 1776; a period of 9 months and 29 days. His son, Caleb, Jr. also served, joining at the same time. [12] He has been assigned a DAR Ancestor of #: A068554. [13]
Caleb Lane died Feb. 10, 1783, at age 54 years at Gloucester.[14] The inscription on his tombstone reads[15]:
Erected to the memory of Caleb Lane, who died Feb. 10, 1783, age 54
