Jerome was born in 1818. He passed away after 1866. Bud Kinne late Mayor of Phoenix and great-grandson of Jerome by way of Franklin said his aunts told him, Jerome took off to California for the gold rush which helps explain why the family is scattered in the NYS 1855 census. Harriett eventually divorced him as seen in the NYS 1865 census. There was a child, Charles H. Kinne, born to Jerome & Harriett, March 10, 1865 and died June 1, 1867 so his gravestone says. Harriett would have been 54 years old at birth of Charles.
