Marinus King was born on January 24, 1715 or 1716 in Odessa, Delaware, the son of Francis King. His father was one of the founders of Old Drawyers Church. Marinus married Lydia Williams. He passed away on November 18, 1747.
Both Marinus and his wife died young leaving their children as orphans. Marinus was named for his fathers step father Marinus De Witt.
