He married on 30 Aug 1832 in , AL, Lowndes County Martha Caroline SEXTON, born abt 1812 in , SC, daughter of Alsay SEXTON and Dicey Notes: MARRIAGE: Lowndes County Marriage Records 25 Aug 1832, by William J. Wasden on 30 Aug 1832. Married Martha Sexton. ( married by Wm. J. Wasden) Thomas and Martha joined Bethany Primitive Baptist Church, Dale County, AL by letter (also her parents) Feb, 1837. Thomas was chosen clerk and served in that capacity for many years. He also was ordained as a deacon. NOTE: Joined Bethel Church Aug 1836 and received a letter of dismissal from Bethel Church Nov 1836.
